OUR CHOICES

Of all the ways of living your personal liberty, we are interested in being reserved, not shouting things to the four winds, but at the same time not allowing ourselves to feel constricted – being free to do our own thing. We do not like showing off our options, but we have no intention of mortifying our personality and the gains we have made. What can we do then, after having given way to our fascination with the kinds of motor cars that personify the most extreme form of technology, but which are inevitably symbols of a certain social condition and power? Take a step back and allow the ‘object’ to play its role as protagonist.

This is the first idea: OVER500CLUB is not a club of people but a club whose members are the motor cars. Right, so they are not any old motor cars but those whose DNA contains the power of 368kw or more, which, translated into HP arrives to 500.

Second idea: how do you conciliate this relationship between the member (the motor car) and its owner. How do you create for the owner those hedonistic moments to be lived to the full in line with the savour of our own times – nothing to do with the old style of reganism, but much more respectful of modern times – in clear cut moments of pure pleasure that are both selected and selective and at the same time wholly exclusive. Carefully chosen locations, tourism of the elite, wonderful events in the world of sport, art and culture.

All this, naturally, while at the same time always offering both the individual and the group the maximum of reserve (third idea). As concerns the over500club this is a rock hard principle that goes beyond legal dispositions in the expression of a real mind set.

We now come to the final idea, number four. There is no point in beating about the bush: the members of a club like ours are without any doubt people who are very fortunate in many ways, and we believe that the more fortunate you are, the more you should think of those who are not. This last idea ought probably to be the first, and it is our pleasure to think that, by sticking together, we will be able to leave an important trace on a humanitarian project that we have been following for years.
Whoever recognizes in himself this ‘Manifesto of Intentions’ will be welcome in the OVER500CLUB.
